Paramount Skydance Plans to Remove Approximately 2,000 American Positions – Report
Skydance Paramount will initiate large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, removing about 2,000 US jobs under a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.
These job cuts are a result of the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August with a value of $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are expected, with the company planning to reveal complete information in its Q3 financial results on 10 November.
Previous updates stated the firm was looking to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 roles before the start of November.
As of December 2024, Paramount had almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 project-based staff.
The company has not yet commented regarding the report.
