A woman indicted with stalking Kate McCann apparently deposited her a phone message which asked: "what if I am Madeleine?"

Julia Wandelt, twenty-four, who court testimony revealed has consistently claimed she was the missing Madeleine McCann, and her co-defendant are facing charges indicted with stalking Kate and Gerry McCann between June 2022 and February the current year.

On Monday, the tribunal was told phone records and data obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a biological test during 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - at the age of three during a vacation in Portugal - is one of the most publicized child disappearance cases and continues to be open.

'I Do Not Need Money'

One recorded message, presented in court, captured Ms Wandelt stating: "I know I'm overweight and plain like Madeleine had been, but I feel what I believe."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's voicemail expressed: "Imagine there is a tiny probability that I am Madeleine? What happens next? Isn't that significant for you?"

"I do not need money, I maintain a life here in Poland, I only wish to understand," the recording stated.

The tribunal was advised that through emails, mobile messages and communications, Ms Wandelt requested a genetic test, sent early photographs to her phone in a attempt to show a similarity to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and claimed to have "recollections" from a youth with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an intelligence analyst with the police force who gathered the information, told the court there "didn't appear to be any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, according to the call data.

On 9 October 2024, the father picked up a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "the wrong phone."

During that incident Ms Wandelt deposited a voicemail on Mrs McCann's recording stating "I won't give up and I intend to demonstrate my claim."

The court was informed Mrs Spragg established a relationship through digital means with Ms Wandelt before assisting her on a trip to the McCanns' property in the county in December 2024.

Phone records revealed Mrs Spragg had communicated using WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to say the press had characterized Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she ought to be taken seriously in the time preceding the appearance to that location, that area, in that winter.

The court learned message exchanges between the two individuals, in November 2024, discussing attempting to get Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her trash or from silverware at a dining venue.

"We have to assert ourselves," Mrs Spragg told Ms Wandelt.
